Next time you are planning your next vacation or holiday, ask yourself if you would go there if you were not sure the water was safe to drink.
Does that even cross your mind? Safe, clean drinking water is something that many of us don’t think about unless we are traveling to certain places.
The truth is that almost a billion people on our planet don’t have access to clean, safe drinking water. Yes, almost a Billion.
“Unsafe water and lack of basic sanitation cause 80% of diseases and kill more people every year than all forms of violence, including war. Children are especially vulnerable, as their bodies aren’t strong enough to fight diarrhea, dysentery and other illnesses. The UN predicts that one tenth of the global disease burden can be prevented simply by improving water supply and sanitation.
